Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Gets the Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Ridgeview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Bakersfield Drillers. The Wolf Pack have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Drillers, too.

Ben Castro was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Trujillo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ridgeview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Ridgeview now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Bakersfield, they dropped their record down to 2-20-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Ridgeview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Drillers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
