Softball Game Preview: Greenup County Musketeers vs. Tates Creek Commodores

For the second straight game, Greenup County will face off against Tates Creek. The Musketeers will head out to square off against the Commodores at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Greenup County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Tates Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Greenup County barely beat Tates Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Musketeers were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Commodores on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Musketeers, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

For Tates Creek's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Durrum, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Greenup County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Tates Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
