Evansville Central saw some tournament action on Friday. They secured a 46-41 W over the Northview Knights.

Madalynn Shirley had an outrageously good game as she almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Olivya Hile was another key player, putting up seven points and five assists.

Northview's loss came despite strong showings from Carlee Schrader and Kambry Shoults. Schrader dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, while Shoults went 6-for-13 en route to 18 points. That was a full 41.5% of the Knights' points, marking the third time in a row Schrader has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Evansville Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northview, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Evansville Central has already played their next matchup, a 69-62 victory against Washington on the 15th. As for Northview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-39 loss against Borden on the 15th.
