Basketball Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Fairfield on Thursday, Shalom Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Flames were beaten by the High Point Baptist Academy Eagles 68-41 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Flames of the 60-52 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Mason Rogers was nothing short of spectacular for High Point Baptist Academy: he shot 82% from the field on his way to 23 points and eight boards. Rogers' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Carlos Torres was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and six assists.

Shalom Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Shalom Christian Academy and High Point Baptist Academy will both be playing La Academia Charter the next time they take the court. The Flames will host the Leones at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
