Volleyball Game Preview: Neches Tigers vs. Athens Hornets + How To Watch

The Neches Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Athens Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Neches and nine for Athens.

Neches managed to slip by Mildred the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Eagles on Friday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since August 26th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Athens lost 3-0 to Van on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-17.

Neches' loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Athens, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18.

Neches beat Athens 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2022. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
