Volleyball Game Preview: Diman RVT Bengals vs. Southeastern RVT Hawks

The Diman RVT Bengals are taking a road trip to challenge the Southeastern RVT Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southeastern RVT took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Diman RVT, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Diman RVT and Westport, and Diman RVT kept the tradition alive. The Bengals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats on Monday.

While Diman RVT won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Diman RVT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joselaine Jimenez, who had 20 digs and one assist. Jimenez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Diman RVT was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Southeastern RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Bristol County Agricultural.

Southeastern RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Diman RVT, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Diman RVT beat Southeastern RVT 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
