Baseball Recap: Atlantic Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Atlantic and North Marion squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Atlantic had to settle for second. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. The Sharks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Atlantic got a good showing from Jackson Bowman, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits Bowman has allowed since back in February.

Atlantic's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for North Marion, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Atlantic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Marion, they will square off against Umatilla at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Colts' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
