Baseball Recap: Obion County Takes a Loss

Obion County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Peabody Golden Tide. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Tide earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Obion County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layne Stover, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Obion County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Peabody, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Obion County will square off against Hickman County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peabody, they will welcome Mayfield at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
