Softball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Northridge duked it out with Fayette County on Saturday. The Northridge Jaguars took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fayette County Tigers. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Northridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Fayette County pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Northridge will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brookwood at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Fayette County, they have already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against South Lamar on the 8th.
