Flag Football Recap: Folsom Bulldogs vs. Whitney Wildcats
Folsom had lost 16 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-19 to make it 17. They were beaten by the Whitney Wildcats 61-13. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-0 back in September.
As for Whitney, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Whitney found their leader in sophomore Lulu Im, who threw for 192 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 66 yards and one TD.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Folsom is set to take on their familiar foe Granite Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Whitney will face off against rival St. Francis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wildcats 9.6, the Troubadours 11) so any points scored will be well earned.
