Volleyball Recap: Normandy Comes Up Short

Normandy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Westlake Demons. The Invaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Demons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Westlake scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Olive VanDetta had an outrageously good game for Westlake as she had 19 digs and two aces.

Normandy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Normandy will square off against rival Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Westlake is set to take on their familiar foe Valley Forge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
