While Grace Davis's win against Pacheco wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Panthers on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Grace Davis took Pacheco into a fifth set where they got it done with a 16-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 19-25, 21-25, 25-9.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Pacheco, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Grace Davis is set to face off against their familiar foe Beyer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pacheco will challenge rival Livingston at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
