Basketball Recap: St. David Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

St. David had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Baboquivari Warriors by a score of 56-47 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-43 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Baboquivari still got an impressive performance from Cade Widener, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 18 points and five boards. Widener is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ezekiel Hendricks, who posted five points.

St. David's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13. As for Baboquivari, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 16-9.

St. David didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-37 win against Lourdes Catholic on the 24th. Baboquivari has also already played their next game, a 64-56 victory against Hayden on the 24th.
