Soccer Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Monticello has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Charlottesville Black Knights. That's two games in a row now that Monticello have lost by just one goal.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Charlottesville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Monticello is set to challenge their familiar foe Goochland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Charlottesville will take on rival Fluvanna County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
