Softball Recap: Urbana Takes a Loss

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 21-7 to the Northwestern Warriors. If the Hillclimbers were looking for revenge after losing 16-6 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Urbana saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isla Wooten, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Morgan Boyd was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Urbana's record now sits at 1-8. As for Northwestern, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Urbana will challenge Kenton Ridge at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Hillclimbers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northwestern, they will square off against Graham Local at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
