Basketball Game Preview: West Seattle vs. Kentridge Chargers

West Seattle will face off against the Kentridge Chargers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

West Seattle is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Rainier Beach, falling 80-54. While losing is never fun, West Seattle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Rainier Beach is ranked first).

Meanwhile, Kentridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kennedy Catholic. The contest marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

West Seattle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Kentridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
