Volleyball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maggie Freuauf paced Legacy Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Freuauf got some help from Ellie Babione and her 15 assists. Olivia Haines and Immy Grant kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Emmanuel Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pheoby Hamastra out in front who had 25 digs and two aces. Mya Lawrence was another key player, getting 33 assists and ten digs.

Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Legacy Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Miami Valley on the 22nd. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Madison Plains on the 20th.
