Basketball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Imlay City Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-26 back in January.

Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Imlay City, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Richmond will head out on the road to face off against Algonac at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Algonac has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Imlay City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-53 loss against Croswell-Lexington on the 17th.
