Basketball Recap: Sigourney's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sigourney took a 36-point loss the last time they faced off against Iowa Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sigourney Savages skirted past the Iowa Valley Tigers 57-54. The win was nothing new for the Savages as they're now sitting on four straight.

Sigourney's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Iowa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sigourney will take on Montezuma in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sigourney's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Iowa Valley, they will be home for the holidays to greet Moravia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
