Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Huskies vs. Woodland Cougars
The Pawhuska Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Woodland by a score of 34-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pawhuska has scored all season.
Pawhuska lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Willson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Miles, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Pawhuska has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Woodland, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will take on the Wolverines at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Rockets at 8:00 p.m.
