Football Recap: Caldera Falls to Thurston in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Caldera unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Thurston Colts 48-17 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Caldera of the 45-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Justin Fisher was nothing short of spectacular for Thurston: he rushed for 159 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

Caldera will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Albany at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Thurston, they are taking a road trip to face off against Silverton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
