Football Game Preview: Principia/Whitfield vs. Lutheran South Lancers

For the first time this season, Principia/Whitfield will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lutheran South Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Principia/Whitfield's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lutheran South has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Principia/Whitfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 68-33 victory over Priory. The high-scoring effort was just what Principia/Whitfield needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Lutheran South against Confluence Prep Academy/Grand Center Arts Academy on Friday as the squad secured a 49-6 win.

Principia/Whitfield now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lutheran South, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Principia/Whitfield was dealt a bruising 42-7 loss at the hands of Lutheran South in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for Principia/Whitfield, Ben Long (who rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 157 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time.
