Holy Name was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Padua Franciscan Bruins. While the Green Wave didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bruins 25-17 in the first set.

Holy Name started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-14.
