Soccer Recap: Cajon Takes a Loss

The Cajon Cowboys lost 4-1 to the Bishop Amat Lancers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Lancers are ranked 20th).

Cajon's goal came courtesy of Darey Zamora, who's now up to 17 this season.

Cajon's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-2. As for Bishop Amat, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1-2.

Cajon will take on Redlands East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cajon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Bishop Amat, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy on the 6th.
