Columbus entered their tilt with Weimar on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cardinals not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

Columbus walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Weimar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Columbus and Weimar should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Cardinals will take on Lamar Consolidated at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (74 vs. 334). Meanwhile, Weimar (ranked 424th) will meet Sacred Heart (ranked 927th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
