Hopewell-Loudon put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the St. Paul Flyers. That's more bragging rights for the Chieftains, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Kacie Flechtner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was AnneMarie Berg, who scored three runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Hopewell-Loudon's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for St. Paul, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Hopewell-Loudon will head out on the road to square off against Gibsonburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Hopewell-Loudon's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for St. Paul, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against St. Mary Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m.
