 Cheatham County Central is 9-1 against Sycamore since April of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Cheatham County Central Cubs will be playing at home against the Sycamore War Eagles at 6:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cheatham County Central has six straight  wins, Sycamore has three straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Cheatham County Central gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Friday. They blew past Hickman County 15-5.
  Haylee Dowlen looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Gracie Belle Weakley was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Macie Harter, who  went 4-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and a  triple.
 Meanwhile, Sycamore came up short against Cheatham County Central on Thursday and fell  8-4.
  Gaibriella Allen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and six unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  Alyrae Greene was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Cheatham County Central is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record  this season. As for Sycamore, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
