Volleyball Recap: Albany Takes a Loss

Albany came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Hawley Bearcats. The Lions have struggled against the Bearcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Albany was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-19.

Albany's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-11. As for Hawley, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-7.

Coincidentally, Albany and Hawley will both be playing Colorado the next time they take the court. The Bearcats will host the Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
