Baseball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Brunswick's Winning Streak

Brunswick dropped their record down to 5-2 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Medomak Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games.

For Medomak Valley's part, the team relied heavily on Kristian Schumann, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Josh Blake Jr was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brunswick will take on Edward Little at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Medomak Valley, they will head out to challenge Leavitt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
