Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Scituate couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Narragansett Mariners. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Scituate's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Narragansett, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Scituate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Narragansett, they will challenge East Providence at 6:00 p.m. on March 6th. Narragansett's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so East Providence's offense will have their work cut out for them.
