Bullis got a 57 - 14 win over St. Stephen's & St. Agnes last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Eric Mckan iii. Mckan iii earned two touchdowns and 174 yards rushing the ball. That performance landed Mckan iii among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Top Game
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between St. John's (2nd in the power rankings) and Gonzaga (7th). St. John's scooted by Gonzaga with a score of 32 - 14. Gonzaga had come in flaunting an aggressive defense allowing an average of only 11 points per game, but that obviously didn't scare off St. John's.
Rocket Boost
It was another game, another high-octane performance for North Point last week (their 4th in a row). It took its game against Chopticon by a confident 39 - 14 score. North Point gave the Chopticon offensive line some real trouble with seven sacks (and will no doubt be looking to keep the pressure on Arundel this Friday). The success catapulted North Point five spots up the power rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.
Upcoming Drama
It should be quite a contest when Our Lady of Good Counsel (ranked 3rd in MD) and Gonzaga (7th in DC) face off this week. Our Lady of Good Counsel will be strutting in after a win while Gonzaga will be stumbling in from a defeat.
