Volleyball Recap: Wauzeka-Steuben Beats Ithaca for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Wauzeka-Steuben extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Abigail Wright. The Hornets put the hurt on the Ithaca Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday with plenty of help from Wright, who had 28 assists and seven aces. Wright is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

While Wauzeka-Steuben won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-23.

Wauzeka-Steuben's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Ithaca, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Wauzeka-Steuben didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Kickapoo on the 16th. As for Ithaca, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against North Crawford on the 16th.
