The Wes-Del Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-Central Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Wes-Del has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Wes-Del lost 16-6 to Peru on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wes-Del saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Summers, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. The Warriors are 5-1 when Summers posts two or more runs, but 0-9 otherwise.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tri-Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Sheridan by a score of 12-7 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Jake Cherry and Nate Cherry made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Cherry pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Nate struck out 11 batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Cherry went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Nate earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Jake has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Arnold, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Drake Mackey also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Tri-Central moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Wes-Del, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Wes-Del might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Tri-Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2017. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
