Basketball Recap: Houghton Takes a Loss

Houghton managed to slip by Negaunee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Houghton Gremlins lost 67-43 to the Negaunee Miners on Wednesday. The contest marked the Gremlins' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Houghton's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Negaunee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Houghton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Negaunee, they are taking a road trip to square off against Kingsford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingsford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Negaunee likes a good challenge.
