Baseball Game Preview: Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs vs. South Philadelphia Rams

The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs are taking a road trip to challenge the South Philadelphia Rams at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Maritime Academy Charter didn't have quite enough to beat Thomas A. Edison and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Seadogs have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, South Philadelphia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Mariana Bracetti Academy, falling 14-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Maritime Academy Charter and nudges their season record down to 1-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for South Philadelphia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Maritime Academy Charter couldn't quite get it done against South Philadelphia when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Seadogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
