Volleyball Game Preview: Conotton Valley Rockets vs. Toronto Red Knights

The Conotton Valley Rockets will take on the Toronto Red Knights in a tournament on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Conotton Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Garaway and fell 2-1. The Rockets have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Conotton Valley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-22.

Conotton Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Whitney Watkins, who had 15 digs and two assists, and Ava Williams, who hit 52% for 13 kills and 15 digs, two aces, and one block. Williams is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Toronto made easy work of Catholic Central on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Red Knights haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Conotton Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Toronto, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

Everything went Conotton Valley's way against Toronto in their previous matchup back in September, as Conotton Valley made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
