Basketball Game Preview: Waterloo Pirates vs. Lake Country Classical Academy Sentinels

The Waterloo Pirates will face off against the Lake Country Classical Academy Sentinels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterloo is looking for their season's first victory.

Last Friday, Waterloo was beaten by Marshall 97-41. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-46, which was the final score in Lake Country Classical Academy's tilt against Howards Grove on Monday.

Waterloo will have to keep a close watch on Ryan Low and John Walker, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lake Country Classical Academy's prior game. Low went 7 for 17 on his way to 18 points, while Walker went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Kolstad, who posted seven points.

Lake Country Classical Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Waterloo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
