Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Holland Pine and Savannah Onley Lead Brook Hill to Victory

Brook Hill's tournament run continued when they took on Cy-Fair on Thursday. The Guard walked away with a 41-32 victory over the Bobcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Guard.

Brook Hill was led to victory by Savannah Onley and Holland Pine. Onley dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Pine shot 47% from the field to rack up 18 points and five boards. Onley also grabbed six steals, which is notable because the Guard are undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 5-6 otherwise. Landrie Fite was another key player, putting up two points and three steals.

Brook Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They are a perfect 4-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Brook Hill's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Cy-Fair, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Brook Hill has already played their next contest, a 48-30 victory against Westfield on the 5th. As for Cy-Fair, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-41 win against Victoria East on the 5th.
