Carman-Ainsworth proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 23) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Powers Catholic Chargers, sneaking past 90-88. The win was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Despite the loss, Powers Catholic still got an impressive performance from Javontae Ross, who went 10-for-16 to rack up 35 points and six assists. Ross is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last eight games he's played. Dempsey Cull was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 13 points.

Carman-Ainsworth pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.3 points over those games. As for Powers Catholic, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-2.

Looking ahead, Carman-Ainsworth will take on Davison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Powers Catholic, they have already played their next game, a 75-50 win against Dow on the 19th.
