League recap: Bohm throws longest pass in league this season for Windsor

Fans got a thrill when Tanner Bohm and Blake Bunday connected against Greeley Central. The longest such play in 4A Northern this season, the connection resulted in 73 yards.

Loveland extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Greeley West, 35-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

David Speidel made the biggest impact on defense this week as Longmont topped Thompson Valley. He nabbed 2 interceptions.

Bohm was a passing and rushing force as Windsor beat the Wildcats. He completed 2 passes for 86 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 191 yards. Bohm's favorite target this week was Bunday, who caught 2 passes for 86 yards.

Clint Sigg threw for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 12-19 with 0 interceptions.

Bohm was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 191 yards on 22 carries as the Wizards defeated the Eagles. Teammate Bunday added to the ground attack by rushing for 71 yards.

On the heels of Sigg and Eli Sullivan, Longmont has had great success on offense. Sigg leads the league in passing with 782 yards, while Sullivan has rushed for 570 yards this season. Loveland's John Freismuth leads the league in receiving yards with 346 on 16 catches.

Next week's game between Doug Johnson's team and the Spartans will feature an aerial matchup as Sigg tests his arm against Mathew Bruning's defensive ability.

A big matchup in 4A Northern this week will be when Windsor takes on Wayne McGinn's team. As it stands, Chris Jones' team is in third, while the Indians are in first.

There should be lots of points scored when the Wizards and Loveland face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Windsor comes in having scored 211 this season, while the Indians have scored 199. The Wizards scored 42 points last week as they beat Greeley Central.

Mountain View scaled the state rankings by moving to 89 from 118 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mountain Lions were able to move up by besting Niwot 49-8.
