Volleyball Recap: Seymour Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Naugatuck, Seymour was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ansonia Chargers by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Seymour was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-11, 20-25, 29-27.

Bailey Sadick paced Seymour's offense, picking up 20 kills. Sadick got some help from Isabelle Lester and her 24 assists. Kyra Pernaselci controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Seymour now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ansonia, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Seymour will challenge rival Wolcott at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ansonia is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Paul Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
