Basketball Recap: Beloit Trojans vs. Chapman Fighting Irish

The Beloit Trojans stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They put the hurt on Chapman with a sharp 67-44 win. Given Beloit's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beloit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Beisner, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Eilert, who scored 15 points along with four steals.

Beloit's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Chapman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Beloit will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Ellsworth is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Chapman, they will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Southeast of Saline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday.
