Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Island Coast

Island Coast proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Palmetto Panthers 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Gators, who have now won three matches in a row.

Island Coast's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayven Torres, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Island Coast's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Palmetto, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
