Westfall dropped their record down to 6-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-5 to the Zane Trace Pioneers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Logan McNeal was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Jill Butcher also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Those three RBI gave Boggess-Pierce a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carlie Clark, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Westfall and Zane Trace could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 203rd) will meet Wheelersburg (ranked second) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Zane Trace will face off against Piketon at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (342 vs. 74).
