Football Game Preview: Knox Redskins vs. Griffith Panthers

The Knox Redskins will challenge the Griffith Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Knox is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-21 victory over Jimtown. The Redskins' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Myles McLaughlin produced another solid performance rushing for 469 yards and seven scores while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 23rd straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Another reason for the win was Knox's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Cain Weber, Brian Korcha, and Keyston Dickson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Griffith humbled Hammond Bishop Noll with a 62-8 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-0.

Griffith's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Knox, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.

Everything came up roses for Knox against Griffith in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 66-28 victory. In that game, the Redskins amassed a halftime lead of 34-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
