Softball Recap: Forks Comes Up Short

Forks extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 7-7 in the process. They came up short against the Raymond/South Bend Ravens, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on Tuesday.

Forks saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Raymond/South Bend, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Considering they have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Raymond/South Bend's side, Macey Enlow made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Enlow was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Emma Glazier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Koski Kassie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Forks will square off against Coupeville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least ten runs in their last ten games. As for Raymond/South Bend, they will take on Chief Leschi at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Ravens' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Warriors have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
