Basketball Recap: Kennedy Gieseking Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

The Edwardsville Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Dunlap Eagles 56-53.

Edwardsville's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Gieseking, who went 8-for-15 en route to 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Cook, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Edwardsville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dunlap, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Edwardsville will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mater Dei at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dunlap, they will face off against Richwoods at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
