Soccer Recap: Johnsburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Plano on Thursday, Johnsburg came back down to earth. The Skyhawks lost 3-0 to the Richmond-Burton Rockets on Monday. Johnsburg were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Richmond-Burton earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Johnsburg has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Richmond-Burton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Johnsburg will face off against Marian Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Richmond-Burton, they will square off against Harvard at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Richmond-Burton have won three straight at home, while Harvard won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
