Basketball Recap: Wellington Skates Past Black River with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Wellington over Black River in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wellington Dukes blew the Black River Pirates out of the water with a 58-21 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.

Wellington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Lehmkuhl, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Jerousek, who posted nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.
