Baseball Game Preview: Spartanburg Day Griffins vs. Upstate Eagles

The Spartanburg Day Griffins will challenge the Upstate Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Spartanburg Day didn't have quite enough to beat Upstate and fell 9-8.

For Upstate's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Silas Miller, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Miller a new career-high in RBI (two).

Upstate hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in seven consecutive matchups.

Spartanburg Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Upstate, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
